The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted Over The Air Reception Devices Rule (OTARD) which restricts Home Owner Association regulation of Satellite dishes. Specifically, Gateway Greens cannot unreasonable delay or prevent the installation or maintenance of, increase the cost of installation or maintenance of , or preclude reception of satellite receivers. The Association's attorneys have advised the Association that it has the right to list preferred locations for satellite dishes and/or can require the color of the dish conform to the aesthetic standards of the community.
1. Antennas should be installed on a low pole behind existing bushes screening the antenna from the street view, or
2. Antennas should be installed on the house behind existing trees which screen the antenna from the street view, or if they cannot be screened from the street,
3. Antennas should be painted to match the color of the house or house trim.
